Spotlight: Sawrie Becker, owner of SBB Life Coaching How did you get started in your business, and how did you fund it? "I started my life coaching business as a sole proprietor on a part-time basis, operating out of my home. As a result, my costs were minimal. When I decided to operate my business on a full-time basis, I re-located into an office space and made an initial investment in office furniture and some equipment. I was able to fund this investment with some personal savings I had accumulated. I kept the initial start-up costs low by using some of my own furniture for the office, finding discounts on a computer and copy machine and by designing and producing my own public relations materials. I was also able to produce a Web site at a low cost by utilizing the services of a Web site designer who was a family friend."
